I did a brief segment on holiday etiquette dilemmas on New England Cable News this morning:
Good interview, but the ConductMom is right. I DO need to brush my hair in the back more!

Why do you wave your book at the camera every time you make a TV appearance? It really is pretty cringe inducing. Ask your honest friends and they will tell you. The classy way to handle it is to allow the host to mention your book both at the beginning and at the close of the interview and at that point you can humbly pick it up and show it to the camera. But when you start the interview looking at the monitor and trying to wedge your book into the frame, (and worse, this time add a salespitch) it is uncomfortable.
