A most wonderful hat

In the wake of the royal wedding, a friend sent me a picture of this marvelous hat:
It was worn at the Kentucky Derby, apparently. Isn’t it marvelous? If I were better at handicrafts I’d try to recreate one myself, but as it is I’m afraid the results would be embarrassing.
